About Indie Designers

Local Boutiques recognizes that there are wonderful Indie Designers in our communities. We define an Indie Designer as an individual who is educated in design and fashion and has launched their own independent line whether it is apparel, accessories, jewelry, or even shoes. We applaud the Designers who are true to their vision and craft. We are especially interested if the Designer manufactures locally. Manufacturing in your village, city, or country supports locally owned businesses, which is the mission of Local Boutiques.

Talented men and women who’ve paid their dues learning their craft are featured on this page. Our mission is to feature a variety of styles and media to appeal to the eclectic tastes of the fashion forward Boutiques and consumers who search this site. Expect to see fresh ideas, innovation, and professional execution in the finished products: these Designers are the quintessential professionals. We are not interested in the status quo. When I shop, I look for something special and not found in the “Big Box” stores, the mall, or online. I suspect you too are drawn to true fashion as well, and without the token celebrity fronting the line or label.
