Belle Cose has 5,000 square feet, and most of it is devoted to their furniture consignment, silver, silver ware, porcelain, glassware, crystal, linens, lamps, and rugs. The consigned items that Belle Cose offers are not only from estate but also from private owners and local artists. In the front of the store inside the display cases are handcrafted jewelry from local artists and wonderful handcrafted wooden ships that are true replicas of the tall ships including the original Pride of Baltimore. Not finding what you want, there is a book at the front counter that is the wish list for Belle Close's customers. |
| Not sure what an item is worth, Belle Cose utilizes trained appraisers when pricing is a question, this especially true when handling estate items. |
|
New items to be consigned are by appointment only Tuesday through Thursday only. Belle Cose will come to you if it is a large piece, sometimes a picture maybe all they need, or send them an email with a description and history of the piece along with a picture, they also offer pick up and delivery services for a fee. Belle Cose's Consignment cycle is 120 days. Price reduces 15% after 30 days, 60 days, and lastly 90 days. At the completion of the consignment cycle the items can be picked up or donated to Habitat for Humanity or other outreach programs offered by local churches. The fee structure is 65/35, the Consignor receives 65% of the sale price, while the Consignee, Belle Cosa, receives 35% of the final sale. |
