ALDO and its employees support charities and community causes through fundraising and volunteer work. The company actively supports the fight against AIDS since 1985. In 1985, AIDS carried an awful stigma and it was quite difficult to raise funds to educate and fight the spread of AIDS. Over the years, ALDO has donated millions of dollars to AIDS awareness and research foundations including CanfAR, Amfar, and Youth AIDS. The fall of 2005 and the summer of 2006, ALDO launched the campaign, ALDO Fights AID, demonstrating their commitment to AIDS eradication. |
| The Aldo group works with the DANS LA RUE organization, an organization that helps homeless youth who live on the streets of Montreal. Every Christmas season over 60 volunteers prepare 500 backpacks to be distributed to these less fortunate youths. The DANS LA RUE provides a safe heaven for these trouble youths to turn to for help and assistances. |
